Terms of Service

The service

SayMyName lets you record how your name is pronounced and share it through a public link, and add a “Hear my name” link to your email signature. Your public page is free to create and share. A one-time payment of $4.99 removes the “Powered by SayMyName” branding from the copyable email-signature snippet only — your public page always shows this branding, since it’s how other people discover SayMyName.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• One pronunciation profile per account.
• You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms to use SayMyName.

Your content

You keep ownership of the name and recording you upload. By uploading it, you grant SayMyName a license to host, store, and publicly display it at your public link, for as long as your account exists — that’s required for the product to work.

You agree not to use SayMyName to record or share audio that:

• Isn’t actually a name, or misrepresents whose name it is.
• Is abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.
• Infringes someone else’s rights, including impersonating another real person without consent.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this.

Payment

The branding-removal fee is a one-time payment, not a subscription — there’s nothing to cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe and are generally non-refundable, except where required by law.

Termination

You can stop using SayMyName at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice where possible.

Disclaimers

SayMyName is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SayMyName isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes. Continuing to use SayMyName after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which SayMyName operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
